A long time ago i got a problem, that chkdsk run everytime i booted up Windows, so i removed "BootExecute" values from the registry. I just checked from the reg. backup file, that i made back then and values were like this: hex(7):61,00,75,00,74,00,6f,00,63,00,68,00,65,00,63,00,6b,00,20,\...

My question is, that is this the right value on "BootExecute", if chkdsk will be run ONLY when NEEDED (drive is flagged as "dirty"): "autocheck autochk *"?

I don't know the answer to your question. But if you still have the 'dirty' problem, check response #7 here

Do you have a problem or are you just curious about the 'Bootexecute' values?

Response #72457 at the following website has a link to a reg file that enables and disables chkdsk during a boot.

http://www.ulop.net/component/optio...

The following is a copy of that reg file. It appears to have something like the numbers that you posted.
