My laptop crashed last night. Not sure why but it got really hot???
Everytime i boot it up it tries to run chkdsk but freezes at 80000 checked out of 164000 with only 4% done. I can't work out how to get it to do it properly all the way through or should i just turn it off?

Chkdsk is not very good at handling hard drives that aren't working 100%. Try downloading and running a diagnostic from the hard drive manufacturer's web site.

But the real problem might be your laptop overheating.
