Is there a way to check the amount of physical ram and
retrieve info about the type of ram installed..... by holding
down the delete key during start up (checking the bios)... I'm
not sure how to do that... can anyone please let me know
how? Thanks. I can take the case apart... but am looking for
an easier way.

Try CPU-Z. It gives you info on not only your RAM, but also your CPU, and in some computers, your motherboard. It's free. Click the download link on the left side of this website: Hope this helps,

Trent's been on a roll lately ;-)
SIW.exe can also tell you that info plus anything else you want to know about your hardeware and software. Download the standalone version from the link below.
