Ok I remember doing this ages ago but now I can't remember how I did it.
This computer and one of my other ones have a lot of programs that startup when I turn on the computer, like messengers etc. i know there is a way to stop them loading up on startup by signing in and going to options but I know there is an easier way for stopping multiple programs at one time, can anyone tell me what it is?
Thanks!

Aw...It's coming up with downloads and stuff, I've done it without downloading though.

I think I typed something in the run thing, or I found it in the control panel I just can't remember...

Put MsConfig into the Run box then look at the StartUp Tab - but....

....you may find that some Programs have the Option to Load at StartUp in their own Preferences so check the relevant Program Menus first

You may find this useful - look at the Task List...

Have you unchecked things on the Startup tab in msconfig ??

Start,
RUN, then type

msconfig

To find out what each Startup(or Process) item
does or means, and any recommendation as to if you should close the process:
Task List Programs
