Changing Hard Drive Name.

I did a clean install of WinXP Pro.I have two hard Drives. It has changed My Main Drive to F: Drive and the second drive to C: drive. Although it still boots from the orginal drive and treats it as main drive but still it shows as Local Disk(F) and the second drive to Local Disk (C). Is there a way to change it around without reinstalling everything alover again. If yes, How? Please Help.

Right click My Computer and click Manage. Then click on Disk Management. Right click any drive and then clcik to change the letter. Depending on your letter assignment you have now you may have to pick a couple of letters you don't want first because you obviously can't name two drives with the same letter. I don't know how some of the programs you have installed will like it when you change the letter of the drive that they are installed on. Are you absolutely sure that XP is on F:? Is F: listed as drive 0 in Disk Management? Pretty strange! When I do a reinstall, I always delete, and recreate the partitons to make sure everything is replaced including the Boot Sector
