Comment:

I am looking to automatically run disk cleanup when there is less than 10% of hard drive space available. Not sure what the best way to implement this is, so i was thinking if I could use the same code that checks for low disk space, that may be the way to go. I am looking to see whether it is even possible to change the amount of disk space that the alert triggers on. Any ideas?

Thx,

Jon

Thanks, but I already read that article. That shows you how to turn it on/off. What I would like to do is change the thresholds to be greater than the 200MB, etc...

Then, once zi change that threshold, I would like to schedule Disk Cleanup to run if that new threshold is reached. Disk Space cleanup allows me to schedule daily, weekly, monthly, etc... I would like to get it to run automatically when the disk space hits that new threshold that I put in.

You really should consider fixing the problem, rather than a work-around.
Add a second drive, if a desktop.
Install a larger drive if a laptop.

That is tough, as these are for servers that generate huge log & temp files based on web traffic. No way to turn them off. Just clean up every now and then...
