Change User Name on top of XP Start Menu

Hi all,
I want to change the username display on top of Start menu of Window XP. I know how to remove the display name. But I don't know the way how to change the name. Is Anyone have an idea please?

The name is associated with the user name of the person who is logged in. If you want a different name, change the user name in control panel/user accounts.

Go to Control Panel User Accounts. Click Change Account Click Account to Change. Click Change Name. Enter new Name and save. This changes the display name but the account name remains the same.

You will need to log off and log on again to change the name on the Start Menu and you also need to be logged in as Administrator to do the change although you may be able to change you own name without Admin privileges.

Be careful doing that.

It is easy to change the name on the welcome screen. The problem is that the account will still remain the old name.

To be sure consider just making a new limited user account and move your personal data over. Then delete the old limited user account when complete.

Yes thanks for all of suggestions. Actually the profile for those user is "eg. ab01" but only the display name is "eg. david". If I open control panel>user account I only can see like as the following link:
