Sorry if this seems a stupid question but if I change my current service provider (i.e. Tiscali to BT or Virgin) can I keep my current email address or will it become void when I cancel.
I did say it was a daft question but I was wondering if anyone offered to keep your existing addressess.

is your email whatever@your current ISP now or do you use hotmail or yahoo? If its Whatever@your current isp you will need to change it

Some ISP let you keep them for a nominal sum each year. I cannot see the point when you can set up a group in your email programme, and then send a mass email of your new email address to them all.

If your ISP has a pay-as-you-go dial up option (usually on an 0845 number) convert your account to this. You will probably have to use the dial up at intervals (monthly?) to keep the account active, but otherwise you can get at the mail after logging in to your new ISP.
If you tell all your contacts, and repeat it every time someone mails your old ID (and they will), you should eventually stop receiving anything, and can let the account lapse.
Summary: I have tried changing my email address in "My Computing.net" by typing the new address and then pressing "set/change" but when I return the old address is still there. Maybe KTTD can help here ...
Summary: Depends which IP address you are talking about and whether you have a dynamic address or a static address from your ISP. You can change your private address, but there is nothing to be achieved by it....
Summary: Create a new folder (Outlook) on your new OS load.. A partition other than the OS partition is the best place. Place the Outlook.pst file in that folder. Next: Right-Click on the Outlook Icon Properti...
