Hi! Just recently ran routine anti-virus scan (free AVG). No virus reported but partiton table change indicated, no further info. Seems like this is a boot sector virus, and I see there's a demo d/l from Media Pro which I haven't tried yet - hope the demo's fully-functional. Should I know anything else about this? I've been scouring Microsoft's pages but they are as clear as mud, as usual. PS logical disk manager says all partitions are healthy. Should I worry?

message is inconclusive. no reported boot virus so you should be clean. try a different online checker.

Google for Bit defender or trend Micro online virus scanner...honestly AVG is about as useful as it's price.

How can you say that (AVG is about as useful as it's price)? I've seen other people here recommend it (or don't knock it). You must have some special inside knowledge -- please share it with us.
