How do I change the default font in Word 2002 from Times New Roman to another font like Helvetica? Thanks in advance.

First of all I want you to know that I'm using a dutch version of word. This means that if I say you have to press a certain button, I'm litterally translating the text on that button so it might differ from your version, I hope you'll understand it.
- Open the menu 'markup'(It's left to extra in my version).
- In that menu, choose 'Font...'.
- Now you have a list of all the fonts installed on your computer.
- Choose the font you want and then press the button 'default...' it might say 'standard...'. instead of default. Enyway, it's located down on the left side of the form.
- Now click ok, word will ask confirmation, click yes and the font you've selected will become word's default font...Note: I've noticed that this doesn't work on some fonts(don't really know why). So if you can't set a font as your default one, try another one...

Open a Word document.
Choose Font from the Format pull-down menu.
In the Font dialog box, select the font and size you want as your default.
Click on the Default button at the bottom left corner of the box.
When Word asks if you're sure you want to do this, choose Yes.
