Change date attributes of a file from batch

August 25, 2009 at 01:44:00
Specs: Windows XP
I have many files named "YYYYMMDD name.pdf". I would like to change the date-modified of each file to the YYYYMMDD from the file name, using a command line utility in a batch file. Does anyone know a utility that does that? (For example: setfiledate.exe -modified -YYYYMMDD)

Thanks for your help.

Found it myself. FileDate, part of ABF Software's Freeware Tools, does what I want.

Example: FileDate.exe c:\progs\*.exe 03/06/00 01-35-00 /r
(/r means recursive).

It is free and can be downloaded from http://www.abf-dev.com/download.shtml.
