Change background color on WMP 11 library

Specs: Windows XP
Hey guys, I would really appreciate your help on this,
I’m trying to change the background colour on my windows media player 11 library, so I have tried going in to the regedit and changing the binary file but i don’t have a LIbraryBackgroundImage bin file so I made on. As you may know that did not work. I think it’s got something to do with the binary core of the file, so if someone would be as kind as to copy and paste the bin code. Or even have a better idea you’ll help me a lot, the default background is painfully bright and it has to go please.
Thanks peaps

The regedit instructions you found seem to be for WMP12 not 11

I've checked my own registry ( WMP11 on XP SP3) and there is no "LIbraryBackgroundImage" line in my registry either.

If enough people complain to Msoft, maybe they will release a new version with customisable library background.

There does not appear to be a registry setting that will do what you want. Changing the code of the application would be very difficult and time consuming, even for someone with the required software tools and the advanced knowledge to use them. It would probably also be a violation of the license agreement with Microsoft. Don't expect than anyone will do this for you.

If WMP is not acceptable to you there are alternative free media players available.

Thanks guys, it doesn’t look like this is going to be a quick fix. I like WMP only coz it doesn’t eat as much recourses as other’s and is rather stable. So I went to lay my complaint at MS (not that I think they give a f8ck). Never the less thanks for your time, maybe one day customer satisfaction will come before profit or not
