For some reason, xp has been having problem reading my cf/sd card reader thru the USB port. It was working fine until recently. I'm not sure what the precipitating factor was. The only thing I can think of is I plugged in a digital camera thru the same usb port before the problem arised. Now whenever I plug the reader in any usb slot, it would pretty much freeze up the system or at least slow the system down enough to be unusable. The only exception to this failure is if I do the following: While booting, I press f12 during the initial screen.(where it would load the network boot or something), then if I continue to press f12, it gives me this "Unable to load media" driver or something message. After that happens and XP loads, then for some reason, the system can read the card without a problem. But the freeze recurs the next time I turn on the computer. I already tried uninstalling and installing both the digital camera and card reader drivers without any resolution. Can anyone shed some light into this issue? Thanx
