I have just passed my Network + exam! I now want to take my A+ Certification (Which I know I should have taken first) but everyone told me I should be able to pass this easily. (I have been a technician for 5 years) Should I go on this?, take a few practice exams and assum I am ready? Or should I invest, buy some books and acutualay study? (I passed the Network + with a book I borrowed from a friend and 2 weeks of studying.) Your advice is appreciated.
Thanks,
-Mario-

I would either purchase a book or borrow one from the local library. I took my A+ back in 1999 and the test was different then as it is now but I would at least read threw the book.
I don't know if things have changed but it used to work like this. There was the correct answer and then there was the CompTIA answer.
It is a very simple test to pass and you should not have any problems if you have worked as a tech for 5+ years. So take a few practice test and read over a book and you should be fine.

The website comptia.org has good info, as they admin the test.
The word "easy" is relative, but with 5 years of exp you should be OK, but I would get a book, like Mike Meyers All In One A+
and read it all and study.
It is a complete test, but it's very detailed and the way they ask questions is like you cannot guess, you have to know WHY the other 3 or 4 answers are NOT correct and then rule them out in your head, because some answers are ALL OF THE ABOVE or NONE OF THE ABOVE.
Network + I thought was a much easier test,
and A+ is usually the starting place but who cares what order you take it in.
