More information could be useful. Are you talking about the drive itself or a disc? Anything else you want to add wont hurt either.

Well, when you go to "My Computer" window, you'll see all the icons, my dvd player says "DVD Player", and my cd rw says "CD Drive". It SHOULD say "CD-Writer" instead.

I'm guessing you have atleast kept up with all the hotfixes from microsoft on your XP system. and that you have visited the CDRW's manufacturers web site to make sure that you have the latest DRIVERS and FIRMWARE for the burner. and if you are usinf EZ-CD creatorX.X well that is probably your problem too. I have had nothing but problems with EZ-CD by Roxio running on XP. Try Nero or CDRWIN from Goldenhawk Tech.

I now have 192 MB's goin'. according to the task manager, when burning, it's using 140MB's total. Still, when I launch NERO 5.5.8.0, it will begin, then the BSOD appears, with IRQL_NOT_EQUAL_OR_LESS_THAN. I don't know what else to do....
