Hi, I just installed an MSI CDRW 40X12X48 on a Windows XP Pro system. It was detected by bios on booting (when PC was posting), but when Windows booted it was nowhere - not in My Computer, not in Windows Explorer, and not in Device Manager. So I ran Install new Hardware wizard, and it was installed OK. I used it as a CD reader normally, but when I installed Nero and rebooted the PC it was gone again. I couldn't think of anything to do except trying to install it again and again. So in the end I formatted my C: and installed XP again but it still disappeared on every bootup. I'm really lost, can someone please help me-I'm really desperate. Help please. Thanks for whatever suggestions you are ready to give me.
