Comment:

Hi,
I have a cd-rw drive and a dvd-rom drive. I connected them to the computer once and they were detected by win xp. The cd-rw worked but the dvd-rom didn't. Later, I decided to erase everything on my computer. When I it finished, my drives couldn't be detected. I took them out and I put 'em back again but when i turned on my computer they didn't show. I've tried add hardware but they weren't shown. Later I took out my dvd-rom drive and connected a regular cd-rom drive. That one worked perfectly but the other two, don't work no more. If you nice people can tell me how to make my problems go away, i'll be very delighted. So please, help me out. (=

Reply:

try them with a different IDE cable, or try on on primary cable as the slave.
