Help!!! None of my CD Rom's will not show up on my computer. They are receiving power but, they will not play any CD's nor will they show up anywhere on the computer. They don't show up in "my computer" or if I right click on the start menu and go to "explore". I tried changing out the Cd/rom's and the cables inside and still they do not show up. Any ideas???

1- Did you make sure that one is set for Master and the other for Slave ???

2- Did the problem start when u installed some new hardware?

3- What is the power of your power supply ,,, Try changing the power switch for the CD Roms ...

4- Try connecting One of the CD Roms with Primary IDE Channel ... I mean with the IDE Cable that is connected to you Hard Drive ,,, Connect it as a slave of you hard drive and check if it works ....

5- Make sure All drives are selected for auto Detection in your BIOS setup.

There are 10 types of people in this world, one who understand binary and second who dont.

This problem started when I installed Easy CD-creater on my computer. I tried to reinstall the drivers to these drives but, the easy cd-creader driver is blocking them from installing. I even tried use my external cd-burner, via USB connection and the computer recognizes the drive but, will not show up on the computer. I tried to back-up some files (using Nero) and it won't recognize the burner but, if I hit the "remove hardware safely icon" in the bottom right of my screen, it pulls up the burner. Weird isn't it!!!!! Sorry if I am rambling
