CDROM in XP

CPU/Ram: 2.3ghz

We have cloned our machines so everyone has the same only we ahve a problem where people can't use the CDROM...the disk is picked up by the cdrom but users are unable to open them or run the disks. i was wondering if there was a setting which we have enabled which shouldn't be.
HELP

whenever you do a change like that you should always check your device manager

if there is a problem with your drivers on cd roms or dvd roms you will see them here

if this is the case

then try removing the cd rom and reboot the plug n play system should detect and re install
