Specs: Windows XP
I had to disconnect my cd-rom. After reconnecting it, the device tray is always in the "out" position. I checked the hardware trouble shooting section of my machine - it says the device is working properly. How do I get the tray to stay in the closed position?

When you unplug the SATA cord then the tray will stay in with the power still connected?

Yes - when the cord is unplugged - the tray will stay in. But my husband says the system will not reboot after the computer is turned off if the cord is unplugged.
