Hi, my Acer CD-ROM 56x is experiencing a very strange problem.

Whenever I swap CDs, my CD-ROM drive doesn't update its cache memory.

For example, if there is Windows installation CD in a drive, and I take it out and put in another CD, let's say music CD, my drive still "thinks" that there is Windows installation CD in it, displays the same file tree and tries to access folders and files which don't exist.

The only way to get around it is to take out a current CD, close CD-ROM drive, click Refresh, and then put another CD in.

I tried to download drivers from Acer web-site, but they don't seem to have anything for Windows XP. So much for the quality of their products...

Any suggestions?
