My LG CD/DVD drive (HL-DT-ST BVDRAM GSA-4163B) is not recognising any blank DVD disks I put in to let me record to them. I have been to the LG web sight and tried to update drive but there is no update it just gave me the same driver. I uploaded it again in any case but still does not work. It will play pre-recorded dvd’s ok. I am trying to write info to disk by either using Nero or straight from my Pinnacle Editing programme but it will as I say not recognise the blank disks. The disk I am using are: DVD-r and Maxell DVD-RW. Any Ideas?

PaulPaul, dunno if it applies or not, but on mine, in order to write something on a (previously used) DVR+ disk, I must format the disk first, then all's well. Might be worth trying? HTH. Ed in Texas.
