CD/DVD burner wont write

I've tried multiple software and all fail in the very last step of the write. I've tried different media brands, i've tried registry cleanup to no avail. The hardware is fine. Please help.

You didnt give very much info but I had the same problem trying to fix my nephews pc so he could burn his music. I went to control panel>system>hardware>device manager>disk drives. Researched the model installed w/ his pc & found this http://support.dell.com/support/edo... All to say he has a DVD ROM that doesn't burn only reads. If this isn't the case w/ u tam I suggest u go to your pc's site & see if theres any updates on the drivers, or do a system restore, or reinstall (right click next to the driver)
