Mats---a DVD RAM UJ845S This is a CD/DVD double sided DVD burner/drive in a laptop computer. Lately it will not autorun nor autoplay any CD/DVD inserted but can be read and used through either the run command or through the windows explorer. Problem is that if I eject the disk and insert a different one, windows explorer will continue to show the information from the former CD and although the drive spinns etc. will not read the new CD. If I restart windows it will show the information of the current disk inserted. I have set the autoplay with no result. I take it that in WXP the autorun feature can not be disabled or enabled? Is this a hardware/driver/window problem? Who can help?

Thank you Chuck 2 for the direction. You hit the nail on the head. Somehow the autorun feature was set to 0 in the registry. I set it to 1 and everything is normal again.
