dont know. give it a try and see what happends. i know it fixes some of the problems with the burn programs from nero.

I have an HP8230E external CD burner and HP has not produced the xp updates yet. The microsoft updates didn't help and xp doesn't even recognize that 8230E external drive is there even though HP said it would at least see it as a regular CD rom. Just have to wait for HP to publish the drivers. Go to their web site and get on an e mail notification list and they will e mail you as soon as the drivers are available. Good luck.
