hey,
for some reason my cd rom/dvd rom drive wont work yesterday. it still doesnt work. i put a cd in the drive and it wont autorun or even run at all. any help is appreciated. thanks!

check device manager to see that its properly recognized if not download latest drivers from manufacturer if they have no newer drivers obtain a newer version of aspi drivers
use google and look up aspi manager

i had the same prob, with the writer. drwtsn 32 was hidden in win and elsewhere, was denying me access. i deleted it, now all works fine. i sluethed it after unauth. script writing was blocked.
ie. Exception number: c0000005 (access violation) i thought it was just notating, but apparently, it was blocking access.
