CD ROM not working

got a new game Half life2 put it in cd rom wont read put it in other CD ROM wont read... put in different game and CD ROM starts right up ... do I have a bad disc or other things not working ??? puter illiterate pls respond

If all the other cd's work would suggest a bad cd.

Try to clean the disc and see whether that help

have you tampered with anything inside the PC? Have you connected other things to the motherboard?Maybe a dvd writer?
