cd rom not accessible

My cd rom when there is a cd in it will not autor run. so i got open it and it comes up w/ cd rom not accessible when i restart the machine and then go to my computer i can open the cd rom and see the files. but when i try to open it and close the rom it self to auto play still doesn't work. then i try to open the file sagain and it says not accessible. i did a system restore and it came up w/ the same thing. any ideas

Not sure why you get the not accessible message, driver issue maybe? If these are data CDs and not audio CDs, they usually have to be run manually from My Computer, at least in my experience.
