cd reading problems

just recently installed xp with everything working fine except for some cds that refuse to be read by my cd burner..i burnt these cd's using Windows ME and could read/write to them fine but for some reason windows always reads them as blank cds.
also the burning software i used and still use was nero and my cd burner is an LG 'CED-8080B'. any help would be greatly appreciated.

ok i know which cd's work and which one's don't. the one's burnt using using an older version of nero and using the udf format (it's the last format you're able to select on the older version of nero)
anyway i was able to view these discs when i had windows ME but i can't anymore..

i've tried lot's of things but still can't get it to work. just a few minutes ago i put in one of the cd's that didn't work and it suddenly worked! i have no idea why and i tried other discs but none of them worked..so i tried the one that did work and it didn't work again either! can someone please help me out i had no problems reading cd's whatsoever using ME so this problems driving me crazy because i backed up so much stuff onto cd's just to use xp!
