I had a version of CD clone on an older machine running windows 98. I tried to install it on a newer machine running XP and it wouldn't work. It used to copy programs flawlessly. Programs that normal cd burning software wouldn't. It would take hours sometimes....I MEAN HOURS lol...but it would work. Anyone have anyluck with programs like this on XP?

You can try running it in compatability mode but it may not work that way either.

Use Nero. It works very well for this and doesn't take hours. BTW, there's nothing special about this. It's a matter of reading all the info from the beginning of the CD to the end and storing that info in an image file.
Oh, and you should be able to find a full version of Nero for $8 to $10. I buy this app pretty often from a company called Pacific Magtron.

I have Nero and there were quite a few things it would not copy. I am using CloneCD on XP with no problems. CloneCD has never made a coaster. It rocks!

Download the latest version of Clone CD. It is 4.2.0.2. That version works well with XP. Older versions of Clone Cd won't work with XP
