hi i recently instead windows xp pro 64 bit and im trying to install a cd burning software like nero 7 but it gets a fatal error in the middle of the install i tried installing nero 8 and it would install and get a few errors but it installs so i open it up and go to burn dvd (boot) and it freezes up on me... so im wondering if its because im running windows xp 64 bit? if anybody has any suggestions i greatly appreciate it!

still dosnt work nero actually keep things from loading when i start up my desktop any other suggestions?

You need to perform a custom installation. Instead of just letting Nero automatically install choose the other option. Then untick the things in the link above that are not compatible. Read the system requirements to be sure you meet them. Things like what version of directX.
If you looked at the link it states you will need to run some features in 32bit emulation. This is just another reason not to run a 64bit OS.
