I have a Artec wsm-52z burner. I have had this burner for about a year. Lately I have been having problems burning cd's. I cannot burn data/music/vcd, Using multi types of software, Nero6, Roxio, AShampoo. The cd's usally start burning and then stop around 60mb. The burner also claims to be a 52x, but nero drive speed usally clocks it at 24x. The weird thing is that i can burn cdrw's. My question is, do burners go bad and just stop working after a while, or can service pack 2 have part in this effort.
