CD Boot Up on XP

hi, can anyone tell me how to get my PC to boot up from the CD drive without changing the bios. i thought it was F8 but it doesn't seem to be an option! thanks!

I always have my bios set up for booting from cd first. That way I can only "push any key to boot from cd" when I boot with a bootable cd inside. Otherwise it goes straight to HDD bootsector. :)

You can only force a CD Boot from the BIOS. As Misse suggests, set the CD as first boot device. If there is no CD or a non-bootable CD in the drive the BIOS will go on and look for the second boot device which could be the Floppy. If there is no bootable floppy it will then go the the third boot device which hopefully should be the HD.
It will add a second or two to your boot times but saves having to change the BIOS every time you want to boot from something other than the HD.
