HI ... My Cd auto run stopped working suddenly ... it happened to my main cd drive and to the virtual cd drives ... I checked everything and nothing seems to be wrong ... I also checked the registry for CDROM and autorun was on ... the only thing new on my computer is installing DX 9.0 ,, I didn't see anything wrong with it ..(except this) also after DX 9.0 Need For Speed HP 2 stopped loading .. I get the splash screen then nothing (no game starts) .. I have go back installed so my system restored is suspended and I can't uninstall DX 9.0 ... does anyone know what might be happening and if there is a solution (except formatting). thank you :)

Ohh ... also in EA Games there is an ez-go exe file that checks your system for creating a report when you need technical help ... in this report DX is always 8.1 ... although I fully installed DX 9.0 (running dxdiag shows version 9.0) is that something wrong with the installation or is it somehting wrong with the exe file ??
