Hi, I can't figure out how to do a cd at the command prompt for xp to switch to My Documents. On 2000 I used to use "cd my*". Doesn't work. I've tried cd "My Documents". That won't work either. I can cd into dir's w/out a space fine...any help? Thanks

It should be helpful enough to know that the problem is not XP in general, but something wrong on your machine. If you don't find that little bit of information to be useful, then perhaps you shouldn't mess with it. Take it to a shop and have it looked at by someone who knows what they're doing.

You can still use command.com but you have to deal with the 8.3 file name format, so it would be:

cd mydocu~1

assuming that My Documents is a subdirectory of where you currently are.
