unable to reboot pc just starts up in windows carnt get it to repair my windows xp wen i go in to control panel it crashis [768] error have deleted part of windows i think dont wont to reformat if i have to but will if some 1 tells me how plz help

Try to bootup with your original XP cd in(CD first in BIOS)then reload windows on top existing one. All data stays.
To start clean just choose format at new installation on bootup from WinXP CD
