Hi, I have recently rebuilt my PC with Windows XP and cannot get my Maxell 5in1 card reader to work. The drivers install disk claims that XP doesn't need drivers and XP won't recognize it properly. It identified new hardware when first installed went off to the internet for the correct driver and after the reboot doesn't recognise it. Maxell has not replied to my queries nor has any useful information.
I thought perhaps I could remove it and try to reinstall but have not been able to identify any installed components.

if xp has at least tried to detect it at any time it'll be listed in device manager. make sure everthing there is unhidden and see what device manager says about it.
