Can't view any forum images

I seem to be having a problem with my laptop. I have recently started to use it more and have realized that I can not view images in forums. It doesn't matter which browser I use. It shows the box where the attachments or pics mught be, but no pictures. Any ideas or suggestions? Let me know if you need more info.

Have you checked that you have java or flash installed in the laptop? Try going to www.flash.com to see if it is installed.

They are installed. Went to the website and all was good. It is odd. On the same forum, one set of images might show up and others won't. Mostly images just don't show up. I've checked the settings on the website and I am allowing pictures to be seen. I'm stumped.

It is resolved! Finally. It turns out my firewall had it's ad blocking up on highest setting and that was the culprit. Just thought I would share for future reference.
