hi, my winxp pro SP2 RC1 is running directx 9b. however i'm not able to update it to 9c. after click "i accept the agreement", i see "to start installation, pls click next" so i clicked next. but it jumped to "the components installed are now ready for use". there's no updating done.
to confirm, i run dxdiag and it's still 9b.
any ideas wat may be causing this?
after failed few times, i tried updating 9b to 9c in win2k (my pc is dual booting) without any problems. but it doesnt work in winXP.

Don't suppose it will help with your problem but I have just Installed SP2 today and it automatically Installed DirectX 9.0c - I hadn't updated it since the original Installation of XP
