March 27, 2012 at 13:38:12
Specs: Windows XP
Had WINRAR installed old computer when it came from the store the motherboard gave out had to get a new computer this program now keeps asking for a code or me to buy the software which I thought came as a freebee on a personal used computer anyway? So what do I do I do have some data that they saved in a file from the old computer but I've had no luck in finding the required information as to a registeration number. I've got a windows xp professional with server pk 3

I'd also recommend 7 zip. It can deal with most compression formats (I haven't found one it can't handle, yet), and it'll never ask you to buy it. Just make sure the formats you use are checked during the installation.

Please let us know if you found someone's advice to be helpful.
