Hello everybody! For the last week, I have been unable to install any new downloaded programs--I can't extract from .exe or cabinet installers. Also, system restore won't run. Memory and CPU are normal, and up-to-date Norton finds nothing. I have all updates except the one released earlier this month--can't install it! Anyone have any ideas what's gone wrong and what I should try? I have done all regular system maintenance, ran Ad Aware and deleted spy site cookies, etc. It's not a memory problem, I suspect a file has been corrupted or a reg string is bad. Help? Thanks!

Looking at the event viewer, it looks like (but I don't know--just learning!) each time an .exe has failed to unpack it is because of a fault: nview.dll, version 6.13.10.3087, fault address 0x00009d6f. It's an nvidia driver-- what can i do about it?
