I guess I inadvertently clicked yes on a popup to install Registry Cleaner. I tried like heck to stop the installation. Never saw anything go so fast. Well it scanned and told me I had 302 registry errors but they could only fix 20 unless I purchased it. I just want to uninstall it but it won't. I get a bad uninstall.dll error.
First, do you think the errors are valid.Second, what should I do about uninstalling.
Third, do I really need a registry cleaner.
Thanks,
Kathy

First, do you think the errors are valid.
No. Everyone who tried this program were told the have 302 registry errors but ojnly 20 can be fixed unless you fork out money. They are trying to strong-arm you into buying the software.
Second, what should I do about uninstalling.
Try use system restore to back to a time before you tried this.
Third, do I really need a registry cleaner.
If you don't know what it does, no.

Some people swear by Register cleaners. I don't trust them, they can sometimes 'cause' problems.
Sorry, I do not check for private messages

Try this. I found it at another site.
1. go to the "c" drive and go to program files. Then go to the folder "Registry Cleaner Trial". Click on unistall. Then a thing will pop up saying that they'll give you free 5 dollar coupon for registry cleaner click no. Then go out of the folder and delete "Registry Cleaner Trail" (make sure its not running). Then go back to control panel and go to the add/remove section. Click on change/remove registry cleaner and it will say its already been uninstalled and says would u like to remove it and click yes

I have used this website often to help with problems and have been helped every time. I used your suggestion, Per, and no longer have the annoying pop up at startup. Thanks so much,
Kathy
