Can't uninstall program

Hi all Can any one help please I have Norton Utilities installed and I need to uninstall it. Control panel/add/remove programs won't let me do it,it tells me I have some thing missing in order to complete. Look forward to hear from you.

The same thing happened to me. I rebooted and log in as Administrator. It worked okay after that

I'm having trouble UNinstalling IE6 as well. I even tried manually deleting all the files just so I could redownload it in hopes of fixing it; alwasy tell me the installing can't continue because a newer verion is already found on my system. Argh! Help?

I seem to remember that Norton put a 'Remove Norton' prog on their site www.symantec.com
I didn't think you could uninstall IE. Wasn't that what all the legal fighting was all about a few years back. Why do you want to uninstall...isn't there a fix on Add/Remove

Norton-- Can a company that can't write an uninstall function into its program really protect your computer?
You can't uninstall IE from XP.
