I previously installed the OEM version of Nero 5.5. Then I tried to install Nero 6 without uninstall previous version but I can't. I don't know that the older must be removed. When I try to uninstall Nero 5 using control panel (also try in safe mode) there is a message 'fatal error during installation' & no uninstallation occurs. I tried reinstall this program but when the wizard just started, it shows: 'Installation wizard completed - the wizard was interrupted before Nero could be completely installed - click finish to exit wizard' Now I cannot uninstall or reinstall Nero5. Any idea how to correct this problem? thank you.

Sakura: Not knowing what brand of PC you have, this may or may not work. If it's a late model HP Pavilion, chances are you've got Applications Recovery under HP Tools in the START menu. Check the AR list. If you find Nero 5, you should be able to re-install it from there. Solarian

I have had several situations like yours, and it is frustrating! What I do is to go into the register, run search for Ahead (Ahead Software) and remove all references and full folders of Ahead. Gues I don't have to say to Be Careful Here. If it doesn't exactly say Ahead or Nero, don't remove it. Next search for Nero and remove all direct Nero references. Now try to reinstall, and I think you won't have any more probs.

Very strange.... when you install version 6 it advises you that there is an earlier version on the sytem and it gives you the option to uninstall. I think you should retry vers. 6 and read all the alerts as they appear.
