Can't uninstall Nero Burning rom

I am trying to install a DVD write for a friend. It came with Nero Suite. When I try to install the software it says that the version of Nero Burning rom is newer than what I am trying to install and that I have to remove it first. The problem is I don't see the software listed in add/remove programs even though I can actually run the software. Does anyone have any idea how I can get uninstall it or what is the new install looking for to see if an earlier version is already installed.

If you have the CD for the other one, install again and see if it shows up.

Unfortunately I don't have a CD for the older version.
Okay I found one thing. I have another computer here that ha Nero installed. I found from an internet article that the program that gets run when you uninstall a program from ad/remove programs is stored at registry key from the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall. I went there on the second machine and found that to uninstall it is going to run C:\windows\unnero.exe /UNINSTALL. I thought great. I tried this on the machine I am trying to remove Nero from and it says 'Nero - Burning Rom not detected on your computer'.

The instructions said to install Nero Suite off the CD which when you point to it shows it is made up of 3 products, Nero 6, Nero Vision Express, and Nero Media Player. I tried installing them one at a time and so far so good. I am current installing the second one.

You need the CD for the version you are trying to uninstall in order to uninstall it. When you load the CD you are given the option to uninstall or update.
Once I thought I was wrong, now I'm not so sure!
