Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition, 3 GHz / 2046 MB
I'm not sure exactly wher to put this so here goes. Last night when I went to shut down my computer I got a message saing windows was going to install updates. This morning when I tried to start it I get a message that windows was unable to start and I get a menu for selecting my choice of startups. Safe, Safe with networking, Safe with command prompt etc. etc. None of which will start windows. The computer runs and makes all the correct sounds but no operating system.

Any ideas as to what's wrong? I can't get a desk top so there's no way I know of to fix my problem HELP!!!!.Is my hard drive dead? what do you think and what can I do? Thanks.
