can't start up - low virtual memory

CPU/Ram: not sure

I can't start up my eMachine becaue it says it is running too low on virtual memory to run winlogon.exe. I've tried shutting the machine off, but receive the same message every time.

leaking memory perhaps. Could you reproduce the exact error message and tell us what it says?

The link you provided is helpful only if you are able to normally start up Windows. skroninge problem is that Windows is unable to start (winlogon.exe).

memory leak sounds right. waiting for error message. think he should clean install? would he be able to start in safe mode and use some utility tofix problem?

start computer in safe mode. maybe that will work.
If it does, right click on my computer, click properties. click Advanced tab. Under performance, click settings. click advanced on new window. click change at bottom. try increasing the amount in custom
