Can't start command.com in XP

Hi ppl... I try to run command (by typing command in run for example) But the only thing that happens.. is the "DOS" window comes up but closes again very fast.. how come?? 3 mounth ago i could run it.. but now when needed, i can't just open and closes..can't see any message ither.. And this is no "simple" error.. it is cased probably by a program install i have done... That is my educated guess.. But have been uninstalling most of my appz but nothing helps.. Anyone reconize this?
If not, try www.f-prot.com for now to remove any viruses

Please folks.. it's not stuff like that my AMD athlon is fine on org 1333mhz.. and nothing else is wrong except command that will not "start".. just closes... and last time i know that those installs worked was about 3 mounth ago... haven't needed to install anything until now... Therefor i noticed this..
All other programs/games are running fine :) haven't had a krash or bluescreen since i installed XP Pro on this "new" motherboard... and that was like 1 year ago ..give or take... So everything is Great... except this litte itti bitti tiny THING.. puh :(
I do apriciate all help and ideas...

try it in "safe" mode.
I had almost the same problem, except it was with another DOS program. It "fixed" itself when i did a clean install.
