|Install a program called Speedfan. It will give you readouts on internal temperatures. If you notice CPU core temp going from say 43 deg C to say 75 deg C or higher after a half hour, you have a heat problem. If so, open the computer case and make sure all fans are running, and using a can of compressed air (radio shack, Staples, etc) to blow dirt from all heat sinks, etc. If fan(s) are not running, even after removing dust, replace.|
Post back numbers before and after cleaning to be sure you are in a normal range again.
You have to be a little bit crazy to keep you from going insane.
