There are plenty of free email sites on the internet. Hotmail.com is pretty easy to sign up for. Outlook Express used to freeze up after each email for me, so I quit using it as it wasn't worth bothering with. Most alternative browsers include free email accounts too, Netscape, Opera, etc.

I have the same problem.
I did not totaly solved it yet.
But, I confidently found a connection between
MTU size and other Hiden Net Parameters to be change.
I used "Tweakmaster" to make the changes and each time after changing net parameters the Mail works.
Try it and tell me if make any progress.

I think the problem lies with XP and Proxy Client 2.0. If you try to run software like Copernic or Kazaa, these do not work neither. However, with a XP Pro w/station on a NT 4.0 LAN I can browse without even installing the proxy client. On a Win98 w/station, I have to install Proxy Cl. 2.0 and Copernic and Kazaa wotk perfectly.

Any suggestions?
